天美传媒MUN supports students as they learn about diplomacy, international relations, research techniques, public speaking and debating, resulting in becoming delegates in online and in person Model United Nations Committees.
By placing students in the shoes of a UN diplomat, the goal is to amplify student voices and shape the next generation of globally-minded leaders through education on global issues.
Students are divided in real-life UN committee topics, and through a 3-day experience they get to debate and collaborate representing countries different to their own.
Thanks to our partnership with , delegates receive training from experts in a range of skills before the conference. IMUNA is a not-for-profit organisation formally associated with the United Nations dedicated to promoting global issues education through simulation.
2022/23 highlights
299 students participated in the the virtual MUN last year, stepping into the shoes of a UN diplomat.
Previous years
天美传媒MUN conferences typically last for just over a week and are hosted by a different 天美传媒school each year; making it an invaluable international and cultural experience for our students to take with them into their future. Beyond the debates, 天美传媒students discover more about the diversity of the host country, meet people from different countries and cultures making connections from around the world and foster long-term friendships.
The first 天美传媒MUN entitled 鈥楾ogether we can make a difference鈥 was hosted at Laude, The Lady Elizabeth School in Spain. The delegates discussed and debated topics including the Denuclearization of DPRK and Solving the Economic and Political Crisis in Venezuela.
The second annual 天美传媒MUN entitled 鈥楽olving Issues 鈥 Building the Future鈥 took place at St. Jude School in Costa Rica in April 2019. Around 90 students aged 15-18 years old from 11 天美传媒schools in Costa Rica, Chile, Mexico, and Spain took part in the unforgettable opportunity.
In May 2021, we delivered the first 天美传媒Virtual MUN. Over three days, more than 200 delegates debated about pressing topics and developed their diplomatic skills in a virtual setup. To make the experience even more immersive, we arranged for UN staff, NGO leaders and top university researchers to visit each committee to answer direct questions from our students.
